細野さんの誕生パーティ@野音

初めて日比谷野音に行ってきました。
気持ちよかった。
ヴァンダイクの歌声も聴けちゃって、、
素晴らしい還暦お祝いパーティでした。
皆がステージの「さよならアメリカ｣見入ってるときにUFOも現れたとか。。

細野さん、YMOの皆さん、、お目出度うございます！

ところで、長いことちょっと欲しかった曲を入手。
M14、教授のカバーです。ありそでない感じのDubアルバムで、　いきさつも面白そう。

あのボブ・マーリー＆ウェイラーズと一緒にレコーディングした日本人、あるいはオルケスタ・デル・ソルのリーダーとして有名なパーカッショニスト“Pecker”をバンマスに、スライ＆ロビー、オーガスタス・パブロ、リコ・ロドリゲス、ズート・シムズ、ジュディ・モワット、更に日本から、松岡直也（p）、向井滋春（tb）、故・大村憲司（g）、坂田明（sax）、そして吉田美奈子（chorus）が集結！！ボブ・マーリーが来日した際、新宿のホテル“サンルート”のスイートルームを貸し切っていた彼らのもとを訪ねたPecker氏が、ボブに「ウェイラーズを貸してくれないか？」と直談判。彼のことを覚えていたボブが「おまえになら貸してやる」と快諾。そして誕生したのが、ウェイラーズ、スラロビらが参加したという実に贅沢なアルバム「Pecker Power」と「Instant Rasta」である！！初期ARIWAなジャマイカと、UKレゲエの中間のようなRoots Dub。時代的に様々な音のスタイルが混沌としていた、当時の日本人にしか作れなかったであろう魔法のようなミクスチャー。アフリカでも、ジャマイカでもない、空虚なトーキョーを映し出した真の傑作！

TOWA TEI

As a member of “Deee-Lite”, he debuted from U.S. label Electra in 1990. Their debut album, “WORLD CLIQUE”, received the Gold Disc all over the world. 4 singles in a row topped the Billboard Dance Chart. “Groove is in the heart” topped in both UK and Australia Chart and peaked at #4 on the Billboard Pop Chart. From the year 1994, Towa Tei moved his business base to Japan and releases his first solo album,“FUTURE LISTENING!”, and makes a head start over others in the “lounge” field. As a D.J., he has been performing at big festivals and at top class brand parties, and does music selections for V.I.P parties. His energetic performance and also his own event, “Motivation”, boast a high mobilization.
In recent years, both as music production as well as a composer, he will be involved in a lot of commercials for hot-selling products. Including many of those songs, in 2005 he released his 4th album “FLASH”, a remix album “FLASHER” and his very first visual book, “LOOK”. He has performed as a D.J. for past 20 years, and this year he held a tour, “TOWA TEI DJ 20th. ANNIVERSARY TOUR”. He started a music production company, “hug inc.” and also started “hug Columbia” with Columbia Music Entertainment, Inc. As their first project, they released a double CD, which includes a new remix album, “FUTURE LISTENING!” and another album which includes unreleased songs which have been re-mastered. On June 20th, he released 5th CD of the very popular compilation series, “MOTIVATION FIVE compiled by DJ TOWA TEI”. He worked on film music, which was the first movie made by Hitoshi Matsumoto, “Dai-Nipponjin” which was out on June 2nd. He produced “Sundae Love” sang by AYUSE KOZUE, which is her 5th single. He also offered his song “EX Boy” to “Ex Machina” a movie featured by a supervising editor, Haruomi Hosono, for the movie soundtrack.
